The challenge has been taken up........

Well I decided to take up the challenge of writing my very first m/m erotic story to submit to Mistress Journal's Call for Writers...oh boy! I didn't realize I would have trouble writing it. I did my research on how I wanted my guys to look, that was easy, what other things I wanted in it,not so easy just lets say their main interest left me wanting one. Oh that's got you thinking now hasn't it? Then came the writing part of it, not so easy. I kept wondering if I was making it too m/f in my approach to it.
Spoke to Gina Kincade today who gave me some wonderful advice that she had received from another Author who writes fantastic m/m erotica and guess what now I don't feel so bad about what I am doing.
I can see a lot of editing and rewriting coming up but hey that's the fun of writing. I have already changed the start a few times, even changed the direction on where I want this story to go but at least I am giving it a go to be honest. That way I can say yes, I can write m/m erotica along with bdsm, supernatural, f/f, mff, mfm, romance, amongst other things.
Well I am saying I can write them whether they are any good or not is an entirely different story altogether.
In the last 6 months or so I have seen a vast improvement in my style of writing and how I delve into my characters minds etc and for that I thank Mistress Gina and the rest of the authors at the Playpen. They are a wonderful group who show so much support for each others work and can at times help you out when hit that dreaded "writer's block" of which I am now all too familiar with. Not to mention when they work is critiqued it is always done with respect to the writer and not a bagging session but showing how they think something can be improved.
Anyway  back to the story, 1520 words down, needing to hit 2500 minimum but hoping for the maximum of 5000...wish me luck!
