Sneak Peak

Never Mine

I would say I've lost you
But YOU
Were never mine
Once you were
But that dream
Was just in my mind
Since you've left
I'll go away
Back to my place
Return to my cage
With my pencils
And my pad
Another one lost
How very sad
Just me, pencils and paper
Putting words in lead
Removing the thoughts
Of you from my head
Spilling my mind
Into these lines
About another heart
That never was mine....
